Rude staff and subpar confections.
They make very nice cakes and offer a wide selection of other baked goods like donuts, danishes, cookies, breads etc. Unfortunately, their service is an equally mixed bag. You'll either get very nice employees or ones who are downright huffy and rude both in person and over the phone.
Always stale. They leave the same stuff out for days. If you walk by at night it’s all still in the case ready for the next day.

I stopped in on a whim, grabbed a single cookie, and it ended up being the kind of thing that shuts you up mid-bite. Everything about it: the texture, the warmth, the balance of sweetness. It felt like someone back there actually cares about what they’re making instead of just cranking out sugary filler.The place itself is simple, clean, and run by people who know their craft. No pretentious nonsense, no trying-too-hard vibe. Just genuinely good baked goods made by people who understand flavor and execution.If a single cookie can hit this hard, the rest of the menu is probably dangerous. I’ll be back, and I’m bringing a bigger appetite.

Decided to make the trip out to visit this bakery after hearing so many good things about it and can say it deserves all the praise it gets. My favorite item that we got was a pecan pastry, I wish I'd taken a photo but I immediately demolished it on the drive home.The sweet employee that helped us even gave my daughter a free cookie, which was a nice touch.

I just had to post about the incredible Neapolitan quarter sheet cake Kretchmar’s so beautifully decorated in French buttercream for my Mom’s 92nd birthday. From the moment I picked it up from their smiling counter person, I was so excited to present it to my Mom and family after dinner. I wish you could have seen how her face - everyone’s faces - lit up. Brighter than the candles! And the marbling inside was so perfect with the pink. The taste of both the icing and cake was beyond expectations. Thank you, Kretchmar’s Bakery, for sharing your gifts with my Mom and family. The cake truly added to the special day!

The baked goods are tremendous. The employees are happy to help you. They answer any questions you may have. During Christmas there is a line out the door but the employees get you through as quickly as possible. The only criticism I have is not the store but the customers. The store space is small so if you are going to get baked goods, please don’t bring your family of five into the store while the rest of us are outside dressing.
Kretchmar’s is the best bakery ever! Everything they make is delicious!! I especially love their petit fours, raspberry cake, and anything that has cream in it haha! 10/10 stars
They have cakes cookies donuts cupcakes sweet breads canoli coffee and many more stuff. I ordered birthday cake for my 1 year old and the head designer helped me to choose a cake perfect for her birthday.
Delicious baked goods. One of the best bakeries in the area. I recommend the almond torte cake with raspberry. We get it every year for my mother’s birthday!
One of the best cakes around. I had this exact same cake 14 years ago (yes, in 2009) for my high school graduation party and now just a few weeks ago for my baby shower. This is the most delicious cake ever and decorated so beautifully. We received so many comments on how amazing the cake was. Thank you Kretchmar’s Bakery for making our events so memorable and tasty!
Best lady locks in the world! Never had anything I didn’t like. Amazing tasting cakes. Icing is so good not overly sweet! They make the cutest cookies. So many different designs especially during the holidays. They also have a coffee bar. Staff is always helpful and friendly never met a grouchy one yet. If you bring cash you even get a small discount.
